Experience

During the Marion and John E. Anderson Pavilion construction project, T2 Tech helped CHLA architect, design and manage the enterprise integrated services implementation for the $636 million, 460,000 sq. ft. patient facility that was being built. For this task, T2 Tech provided vendor negotiation, operations management, enterprise IS integration, and Design and Implementation. T2 Tech’s efforts helped CHLA open the new hospital on schedule, reduce the number of fulltime employees (FTEs) needed, save $1.5 million in capital costs, and save $500,000 in operations and maintenance costs. Kootenai Health is an on-going client of T2 Tech. In the past, T2 Tech has helped Kootenai manage their storage systems, and these efforts saved the healthcare provider nearly $1 million. Currently, T2 Tech is helping Kootenai manage their network and data center environment, and other IT infrastructure projects. Since 2007, Saint John’s Health Center has collaborated with T2 Tech on multiple strategic IT initiatives, including the construction of the 275,000 square foot Howard Keck Diagnostic and Treatment Center. Services T2 Tech provided for Saint John’s Health Center include the following: advising that helped Saint John’s Health Center develop an IS organizational system and staffing plan, an assessment of the proposed Epic Electronic Medical Records system, management of data center updates, and management of an upgrade of wired/wireless network and WAN infrastructure. Comanche County Memorial Hospital (CCMH) is an independent, non-profit, acute care facility that provides comprehensive healthcare to Southwest Oklahoma. Currently, CCMH operates a 283-bed regional referral center that uses an Integrated Delivery System. When the company was expecting to expand its healthcare facilities and provider network, T2 Tech was hired to assess, architect and implement the IS infrastructure. By partnering with T2 Tech, CCMH was able to save $1.35 million on EMC storage and Brocade network solutions, and T2 Tech negotiated additional staff training, implementation support, and maintenance services at no additional cost. Following a recent change in ownership, Verity Health System—formerly known as Daughters of Charity—is engaging in a major effort to upgrade and transform operations. As part of this initiative, the Redwood City, Calif. health service is working with T2 Tech to reshape its IT infrastructure in order to reduce overhead costs and deliver improved patient and staff satisfaction. Sharp HealthCare has long been at the forefront of medical technology. The San Diego-based health care delivery organization is continuing to improve by working with T2 Tech to relocate its data center and optimize IT infrastructure that will improve efficiency and enhance staff and patient satisfaction. While working with Sharp’s IT infrastructure, T2 Tech focused on limiting dependencies between hardware and software and developed an approach that will produce an ideal architecture, allow the computing workload to be distributed and handled more economically using fewer hardware resources. With Sharp’s operations spanning seven hospitals, two affiliated medical groups and a range of other facilities and services, the cost savings and efficiency improvements are expected to be significant.


Stanford Health Care (SHC) is a leading provider of patient treatment and medical research. T2 Tech partnered with SHC to conduct a comprehensive assessment of IT services and technology infrastructure across SHC’s recently acquired ValleyCare system. In the IT infrastructure assessment, T2 Tech provided Stanford Health Care with the following: a clear picture of the current state of ValleyCare’s IT environment; a highlight of current risks with relevant short-term fixes; and a long-term strategy to mitigate risks, implement Stanford’s standards and integrate the ValleyCare IT environment into the larger Stanford Health Care IT environment in preparation for its Epic implementation.
